
8th April 2011 – Campaign launched by NAVA to fight the beagle farm construction. Heavy backing received from activists within the region.
April 2011 – Villages local to B&K Universal canvased on a regular basis. Every resident in Grimston objects to proposal.
May 2011 – East Riding of Yorkshire Councillors announce that they have been inundated with e-mails regarding the facility. One is cited in newspapers saying that sixty objections are being received each day.
May 2011 – Stalls and protests become the norm in towns around the area as activists and residents spread the word.
2nd June 2011 – The Beagle Club and Beagle Welfare join calls for beagle farm to be rejected.
16th June 2011 – A packed Planning Committee meeting is held at County Hall, Beverley, where members vote unanimously to turn down the application.
28th August 2011 – B&K Universal announce appeal to the Bristol-based Planning Inspectorate regarding the turning down of their application.
04th September 2011 – Beagle farm hits national level as questions raised in Parliament. A protest is held at the Inspectorate's offices and press across the UK cover the campaign.
11th September 2011 – 28,000 Members of the public sign petition calling on the Planning Inspectorate to turn down the farm.
23rd September 2011 – Secretary of State, Eric Pickles MP, announces that the final decision regarding B&K Universal has been recovered as a matter of public interest.
24th October 2011 – The Kennel Club joins campaign and voices opposition to B&K Universal to Eric Pickles.
04th November 2011 – Official Government Inspector visits Grimston in order to prepare report and recommendations on the application.
16th December 2011 – Comedian Ricky Gervais joins a number of celebrities in condemning the proposal.
