Following claims in the media by Marshall BioResources in relation to their application to construct a beagle farm in Northern Britain, NAVA launched a concise investigation into the supply of dogs for research at their US Head Quarters.
A damning report named 'Marshall Farms - It's A Dog's Life' was released revealing the horrors of experiments conducted throughout the States on dogs bred by the company. We showed for the first time beagles being used callously in terminal studies to research dog food, gastric bands, fruit sugars, obesity and surgical techniques which had already been available for decades.
The report created a large array of opposition to the proposed facility in the UK and lead to a public campaign of pressure, causing a halt to the construction plans.
