ZIG ZAG KENNELS EXPOSED AND CLOSED - 12/08/11

A damning exposé in the Daily Express by campaigning organisations Greyhound Action and Greyt Exploitations shed light on the practices of ZigZag Kennels, a Lincolnshire firm who bred dogs for the racing industry.

In one of the most sickening investigations seen by NAVA, documentary evidence reveals dogs declined of veterinary treatment and living rat-infested pens and a dirty environment.

ZigZag Kennels have also acted act as a random-source supplier of greyhounds to be cut-up in the Medical School at the University of Liverpool for a number of years. First exposed by the Sunday Times, dogs would be sold for as little as £30 to the academic institution to be used in research.

We are thankful to those who exposed the harrowing cruelty at ZigZag and brought about the closure of a business operating long past its sell-by-date.
